What is a home remedy for teeth whitening? I’ve been told baking soda, but does anyone have any other suggestions? I brush my teeth every morning and night, but my teeth are still yellowish. Help?

I am going to whiten my teeth so what is the best brand of whitening trays (the plastic ones filled with gel, not the flimsy sheets with gel lining on the inside) and how much do they cost on average? Also, have you heard about the 2-day whitening strips? Do they work, and how much do they cost?

I have tried using various white strips (the old crest white strips, listerine, and colgate supreme) and a couple whitening trays but with everyone after the first treatment my teeth become sensitive and on the second i get VERY painful shocks in my teeth which i think is from the nerves. I dont know what the problem is but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. P.S. i use sensodyne religiously and it works great just not when i try to whiten my teeth.

I’ve never used any teeth whitening products and I’d like to remove some stains from my teeth. So which one/ones works the best? A d does the white eventually fade back to the same color your tooth was before to where you’d have to whiten them again? If so, how long does the white usually last before it starts to fade?

All of the strips work, they are all the same thing. The peroxide needs to be in contact with your teeth to work. Whitening toothpastes only remove surface stains.

Teeth whitening is commonly accomplished by applying a bleaching agent to the teeth. The longer the bleaching agent is applied the better it works. Or at least this is how every teeth whitening system is marketed. If you are really looking for teeth whitening, normal toothpaste probably isn’t enough just by itself.

Question by : what is the best method for teeth whitening?
I am looking for a teeth whitening product/service that can give me permanent white teeth. There are so many different methods such as whitening pens, whitening strips, whitening toothpaste or simply paying to get my teeth bleached at my local dentist. So the question is which method can offer the best overall results in the least time and that is permanent.

Your dentist can hook you up with a gel that goes in some trays. That worked really well for me, better than any of the over the counter stuff and about the same price. If you want less invasive, get some mouthwash with baking soda or other lightener in it.
